nathan gets stylish
We pitched for the RNIB account this morning. Great fun pitching with this team, as always. When asked why they should work with us we gave such varied responses as we really like our jobs and we get very, very good confectionery.
There was some debate about whether that confectionery should take the form of Krispy Kremes or Ben's Cookies -- but either way, the point is still good: there are normally at least a dozen good reasons why clients might like to visit 55 Gracechurch Street.
Our retreat from the pitch involved Nathan walking down the street with this inflatable chair on his head.
Well, no one can say we don't give it our all.
Fingers crossed.

we miss our buddy
There is no substitute for Lex Frost. He's been gone for a few weeks now, and things aren't the same here without him. Even Neil has said: Funny, I didn't know you could miss a bloke. I never miss blokes. But I actually miss Lex. Coming from an Essex boy, that's a lotta affection.
Other people have tried to ask his trivia questions, but it's just not the same. He is the one and only master of 'If you were an animal based superhero, what would you be?' or 'If you had to fight a group of six year olds who were trained to kill, how many do you think you could take on?'
When we try to do it, we just get all uncomfortable and inadequate, and say things like... ermm... Gary, uh... what's your, uh... favourite colour?
Seriously. We need him back.

more dressing up
...but this time it's for work.
Here are Jenny McCarthy, our Gill, Nick Miller and our Raphael. They used to work with the other two at a different agency and appear to be very smiley and friendly still... but then it's tres PRC to be nice.
Raph was a judge this year. She cleverly booked the next day off after the awards but we had so many briefs coming through we were on the phone and the email to her all day!
And Gill's experience of CIPD Awards day became inspiration for a Penna-wide newsletter snippet: 'Day in the Life of Gill' -- cunningly convincing our Penna colleagues that our lives are one big blur of frocks and parties.
Actually, reading this blog at the moment, that doesn't seem far off the truth.

prom queen
OK, not quite.
But KT was quite a star at Prom Night at the Buffalo Bar in Islington on Saturday... she made it onstage to show off her bridesmaid's-dress-turned-80's-frou-frou.
Very nice.
We danced, we spilled drinks and blamed it on lacy gloves, we did a conga to a Tina Turner song, we played air guitar. It was great.
I'd say any weekend that involves PRC people singing Climb Every Mountain AND My Sharona has to be applauded for sheer diversity of taste.
Or is that diversity of tastlessness? Does it matter? Bring on the bangle bracelets and wimpoles!
